During football season, we always rotate from house to house among all of our friends and spend the day together watching our favorite teams.
I like football, but I like the food better. Whoever hosts the party gets to decide what kind of potluck they want to have. I like to make mine as easy as possible, so I usually go with a chili cook-off type meal. Everyone can bring in their own favorite chili or soup recipe. All I have to provide are some bowls, spoons, and lots of napkins!
It’s always an experience tasting everyone’s different flavors because no two chili recipes ever really taste the same. There is usually only one issue I have with these chili dinners.
There are always tons of leftovers. Even if you try and make a small pot, there is a big pot. That’s why when I found this recipe for leftover chili breakfast burritos I was thrilled.
Finally, something to do with all that chili! We will have these for Monday morning breakfast and it’s a great way to start off the week. Those leftovers disappear just as quickly as they showed up at my house and that’s okay with me!
