This recipe has a unique twist in it. Can you guess what? Yes! Onion rings! It’s your typical cheesy beef bake made special by the addition of onion rings. Ugh. It just tastes so good that I’m sure you will not stop eating piece by piece. I tried to stop myself, but it didn’t work.
Some of my friends don’t like onion rings and I will never understand where they are coming from. I mean seriously. Onion rings are the next best thing to fries! At least that’s what I think whenever I order from fast food restaurants or even in restaurants. So for you onion rings lovers, this dish is for you.
Ingredients:
2 pounds Tyson ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
¼ cup Heinz ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1½ teaspoons McCormick garlic salt
1 (10.5-ounce) can Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup
2 cups Green Giant frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup shredded Colby/Monterrey Jack cheese blend (or other favorite cheese)
1 (24-ounce) box Farm Rich Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper frozen Onion Rings
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly spray a 9×13″ baking dish with cooking spray. Brown the ground beef with the onion over medium high heat. Drain away the fat and return the meat to the skillet over low heat. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and undiluted mushroom soup. Add the mixed veggies and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and top with the cheese. Arrange the Onion Rings in an even layer on the top. You may not use them all. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the casserole is heated through, the cheese has melted, and the onion rings are golden brown.
