I was in a mood to make a pie the other day.
It was a gnawing craving that I was having so of course, I had to give in to it. I wasn’t just craving any old pie, though. You know, all the traditional pies that one might make like apple, pumpkin, or custard. So, I took to the internet to find a recipe that I had never tried before. I was lead to an amazing looking pie that I found called German chocolate vinegar pie. At first, I thought there had to be a typo in this recipe.
I decided to take the plunge and make this delicious pie anyway and boy oh boy, am I EVER glad that I did! Apparently, this is a traditional pie that originated in Germany.
It was easy to make and didn’t require too many fancy ingredients. I could not believe how awesome it tasted. There isn’t a distinct vinegar taste in the least only sweet, wholesome goodness. Enjoy!
