Sometimes I will use this to serve guests on game days and when we are having other kinds of gatherings. I just cook the steak as instructed, and then toss the meat in the crock pot. People can eat them as they wish. I will melt the cheese in the broiler just by putting it in for a few minutes. The meat is so tender and the sandwiches are amazing! Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. thinly sliced,lean sirloin steak
5 large cloves minced garlic
4 tbls. butter
3 tbls. exrta virgin olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. Argo cornstarch
4 Hero rolls
Kraft shredded or sliced mozzarella
Instructions
Brown the garlic in the butter and olive oil. Add the steak and salt and pepper. Cook til well done. Remove the steak from pan and set aside.
Add the cornstarch and whisk til thickened.Taste and adjust seasoning. Slice the hero rolls open and place meat inside.
Pour a little of the thickened gravy on top and add the shredded mozzarella.
Wrap each sandwich in tin foil so that just the meat and cheese is exposed. Place on a baking sheet in oven at 425 degrees til browned. Serve warm.
