Oh, let me count the ways to make a pan of hot, bubbly lasagna.
Let’s see, there are probably about 50,798,543. Everyone and their brother has their own heirloom recipes floating about for the classic dish. In fact, I bet you have your own family-approved recipe, don’t you? I know, I know. You are probably shaking your head right now wondering what on earth kind of carnage did we do to a perfectly good dish like classic lasagna. Well, folks, we made it better; rather, Mr. Food made it better. This version of lasagna has got to be one of my favorites, hands down.
You may be wondering why it’s called an Irish-Italian dish and that is simply because of the incorporation of the potatoes. Potatoes are typically associated with Ireland or Idaho. I didn’t think calling this lasagna an Italian-Idahoian dish had the ring to it that Irish did 🙂 Anyway, make this awesome casserole. You won’t regret it!
