Whenever we would go to visit my aunt and uncle in the Midwest, they always had all kinds of fun things planned for us to do. We would go on nature walks, go look at the local tourist attractions, my favorite was going to the water slide in the summer, and spend a lot of time outside on their farm. No matter what we did or where we went, we always came home and ate a nice homemade dinner around their huge dining room table. It was so big, I felt like we were in separate rooms.
I guess that’s what you get when you have twelve people all eating together. My aunt always would come up with some meals that were like things that I would never even think of. On one such occasion, we had what I thought was spaghetti, but Uncle Bob called it chili. I was so confused.
Either way, I know it was delicious. I found a recipe just like it on My Recipes and now I make it for my family. We always gobble it right up! Usually I double this recipe just so that I have leftovers.
