Give me Irish meatloaf with cabbage cream sauce or give me death!

When I came across this Irish meatloaf with cabbage cream sauce on the Melady Cooks blog I was intrigued. I love meatloaf and I love cabbage so why not give this recipe a go? I am so glad that I made this meatloaf because it turns out that I like it even better than my mom’s. Don’t tell her!

If you do not wish to use sherry, would it be possible to use something else, say broth, for instance. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe.
I wonder, do you remove the cabbage from the skillet during deglazing? I don’t see any mention for sure??
