When Hunger Strikes…Don’t Dial 911…Make This Chicken!

When you’re running low on food and ideas, there’s a pretty good chance you have everything you need to make this already in the house. I know that we always do. If you have any cooking abilities, this is a great starter recipe that you can build on. I know that when my husband makes it he always experiments just a tad, and it always turns out pretty darn good! Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at All Recipes:

“Wow! This was very easy to make and sooo good! I am glad I doubled the recipe, because we were definitely hoping to eat this again. It is easy, but very good!”

Easy and good in the same sentence always make for a great recipe…I love making this on the busiest of workdays for a quick dinner.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter

2/3 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s barbeque sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2/3 teaspoon McCormick’s garlic powder

1 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken pieces – cut into 1/2-inch strips

Instructions

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder together with the melted butter. Stir chicken into the sauce mixture to coat.

Place cover on saucepan and simmer until the chicken pieces are cooked through and no longer pink in the middle, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove cover and spoon sauce over chicken pieces; continue cooking until sauce thickens, about 4 minutes more.
