You don’t often hear the terms cowboy and quiche together in the same sentence, so when I found this recipe on The Pioneer Woman, I knew I would just have to try it out for my hungry guys.
One Saturday morning, I knew that my husband and two teenage sons would be getting up early to go start their chores and I wanted to surprise them with something tasty to start the day. I had gathered all the ingredients for this recipe earlier in the week, so I was excited to give it a try.
When I first told them what it was, they looked at me like I was crazy. I told them to just take my word for it, and that’s all I had made so they didn’t have much of a choice.
They each inhaled their first piece and dove back in for a second. “Quiche doesn’t sound so funny now does it?” They each gave me a smooch on the cheek before heading out to start their days with smiles on their faces. I’ll have to admit, I had a pretty cheesy grin going on too.
