Lasagna is one of my favorite dinner options. Whenever my mom used to say we were having lasagna for dinner, I was elated. It was such a great combination of my favorite flavors. First of all, it was Italian. It was full of tasty flavors such as pasta, well seasoned ground beef and a delicious red sauce. I was always even more thrilled if my mom made her own secret recipe sauce.
That always made it so much more delicious. However, on top of it all, just the fact that we were having lasagna was fun. It was a cool dish.
I was always even a fan of Stouffer’s frozen lasagnas. They were just so tasty! Well, now that I am a wife and have my own family to feed, I see why my momma always had a lasagna on hand for dinners…it was EASY!
She would often prep two or three during the beginning of the month and freeze them for quick and easy dinners that were ready in no time. Now I do what she does and prepare myself a few at the beginning of the month that I can keep handy for busy days that I do not know what to make for dinner.
