When I was a young child, there wasn’t a whole lot of foods that really got my attention. A lot of the meals that my mom or dad would make were either something that I turned my nose up at because it was loaded with vegetables and spices that I didn’t like, or it was something that we had all the time. Either way, dinner as a picky eater wasn’t always a good experience.
Except for when I went to Grandma’s house. She always knew exactly what I would like…more so than what I did in most instances. One of my favorite dishes, well actually two of them, buttered noodles, and meatballs with gravy.
The day that she combined these into one glorious plate I thought I had died and gone to heaven. It was by far the best meal I had ever had. When I found the recipe on All Recipes, I had that same exact feeling wash over me again.
After being able to make this for my equally picky kids, and watching them scarf it down, I know this is a recipe that should be handed down from generation to generation.
