We all have those weekends that are just ordinary. And while we mostly thrive on the quietness of the day, we still somehow want to make it special. One way is to bring a nice dish to the table that doesn’t need a lot of difficult effort on your part. And this is the perfect recipe, whether you have dinner guests or not! Our friends over at Mr. Food have this to say about this recipe:
“The fancy-tasting sauce that dresses up our delicious Balsamic Pork Chops starts with lots of kitchen staples. Whether to liven up an ordinary weeknight, or to impress company…this one will deliver raves.”
I made this one weekend because I was bored and felt like I wasn’t spending the weekend the way I should have been spending it. Usually, I have something special to do, but that weekend, I had none so I decided to make myself one good dinner and this was perfect!
Ingredients:
4 (3/4-inch-thick) Tyson boneless center-cut loin pork chops
2 teaspoons McCormick lemon pepper
1 tablespoon Wesson vegetable oil
1/2 cup Great Value balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup College Inn chicken broth
2 tablespoons Domino light brown sugar
Instructions:
Sprinkle chops evenly with lemon pepper. Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat until hot; add chops. Cook 3 minutes on each side or until browned. Remove chops from skillet; keep warm.
Combine vinegar, broth, and brown sugar in skillet, stirring to loosen any browned bits from pan. Cook over medium-high heat 4 minutes, or until mixture is reduced to a thin sauce. Spoon over chops.
