My neighbor Anne was recently at my house helping me clean out to start the new year. I was not sure what in the world I wanted to get rid of and wanted to keep so I had her come help me sort through things and decide if some stuff looked too old to keep or was good enough for a daily wear. Since I was so stumped, I knew she would be around for a while, so I decided to pop something in the Crock pot for us to enjoy after we were done (or at least on a break!).
After sorting through clothes and closet items for hours, we noticed the aroma of something delightful filling our room. Turns out, it was the smell of a delightful batch of chicken and biscuits that I had prepared the evening before.
I had taken all of the ingredients and layered them in a casserole dish and put it in the fridge for whatever time I would need it over the weekend. When I realized we would be hungry, I just popped it in the Crock pot, turned up the heat and let that baby bake itself. It was so delicious and totally worth the effort of preparing it.
