I have the cutest nephews and niece. They have the tendency to overreact over the simplest things. And while sometimes that’s kind of annoying, I am actually often amused. Sometimes it will make you think how their minds really work. There was this one time when my niece, my brother’s daughter, had a fight with one of my nephews.
We adults were all at the living room while the kids were in another room, playing and eating the cookies that were made for them to enjoy. The only thing that could stop them all from wreaking havoc was a sweet snack, so my cousin baked them all cookies and served them milk. My niece came running out of the room and straight to her father, crying like a wounded baby animal.
She was followed by an angry little nephew who was also crying. When we found out what’s wrong, we had a hard time keeping a straight face. They had a fight over the “princess cookies”.
It was simple sugar cookie dipped in pink chocolate. My niece seemed to have told my nephew that he would be turned into a girl if he ate it. My nephew must have been in the act of eating it, which made the issue blow up.
To solve the problem, my cousin had to promise to bake “man cookies” for him. This recipe for cowboy cookies was the solution she was able to find.
