Fried Apple Cider Donuts – Perfect For Fall!

Growing up in rural Michigan I can recall a very lovely little apple orchard that everyone loved to visit.

This orchard gave you tours of the trees and how they apple cider was made in their private mill. There were all sorts of fun things to eat and buy at the store. The orchard even had a room dedicated solely to Christmas. It was a lot of fun to visit! The one thing I remember the most about this orchard was their famous apple cider donuts.

Man of man were those donuts ever good! The bakers would make fresh donuts every Friday morning and usually, they would sell out by noon.

You had to make sure that you got there early so you could get a fresh batch. However, if you missed out you could always buy the frozen ones that they had in the freezer. Now that the orchard is closed I have to make my own apple cider donuts and this is the fabulous recipe. Enjoy!
