Mmmmm….Southern fried chicken. It’s a meat that can go along just about any side dish. My Aunt Martha used to make the best Southern fried chicken in the world. Even the mult-million dollar fast food joints couldn’t compare to what she could do with this bird. I never understood the whole process of making the meal, I always just sat back and ate it. Now that I am the auntie, I have to be able to make this dish for my nieces and nephews, along wit the rest of my family.
I found this recipe on Serious Eats and figured I would take a shot at it. If it was even close to Aunt Martha’s, I would be shocked. Much to my surprise, it was almost exactly the same.
Everyone sitting at my table was licking their fingers all the way until the end of the meal. The whole pan I made was gone in just a few short minutes.
There’s no doubt that this is a winner, winner chicken dinner!
