Well, it happened, not so long ago. Everyone in my house got sick…all at once! It was terrible. There didn’t seem to be a time when there wasn’t one of us in the bathroom. As the mom, I felt the sole responsibility of getting everyone nursed back to health. I know a huge part of that is making sure that everyone can get something to eat. Even when you don’t feel like eating, sometimes that’s the only thing that will make you feel better. Thankfully, I remembered this recipe that I saw on Group Recipes for a sirloin type stew.
I knew it had everything in it that we needed to get back to our normal selves. There was protein, vegetables, and a broth that would be just what anyone with an upset tummy would feel better with. I tossed it in the crock pot and we all went and laid down. The smell alone was enough to get my kids up and moving.
As soon as we all had a small bowl of this to enjoy, we could actually sit up and watch a movie together. Being sick isn’t always just a bad thing is what I thought. There are some good parts too!
