Holy Moly, This Old-Fashioned Marble Cake Is Better Than Any Recipe I’ve Tried!
For as long as I can remember, marble cake has always been one of my favorites. When I was a little girl, my mother would always bake three cakes on the same day and freeze some of them for later. She always made a lemon bundt cake, a spice cake and a marble cake. Needless to say, I was always hoping she wouldn’t freeze the marble cake so that I could enjoy it right away!
This is an old-fashioned recipe and I think it’s perfect for so many occasions. A slice of this cake works as a wonderful pick-me-up on a crazy weeknight. And if you decide to drizzle this with your favorite glaze or melted chocolate, it immediately turns into something a little more fancy.
Sometimes I’ve even whipped up these festive servings, with a slice of marble cake, fresh berries on the side, and some whipped cream and caramel sauce on top. Never heard any complaints, haha!
