I only have a couple of vegetarian friends. Most of us are definitely meat lovers and will devour any meat as long as much as we can.
I mean seriously, who could say no to a juicy steak or a really tender roast? But of course, we couldn’t fault our vegan friends. It’s a matter of lifestyle. That’s how they chose to live their lives so we should respect them. And respect them we always do, which is why in every reunion where they will attend, we make sure they have something to eat. We usually make vegetable dishes for them and they appreciate the gesture.
However, I didn’t expect a vegan dessert to be recommended by a non-vegetarian friend. Louise is definitely not vegetarian. Despite her thin physique, she is one of the meat eaters in the group. She mostly avoids eating vegetables and fruits simply because she was only tolerating their taste. She loves the fruits in desserts though, but have her eat a banana or an apple? Nope, she won’t. It’s the reason why it’s a surprise when she brought us these delicious chocolate cookies with coconut on it. She doesn’t like coconuts yet she loves this. When I tasted it, I instantly knew why.
