I am always caught off guard by sudden visitors even though I am usually a victim of them. I mean seriously! I should have learned my lesson by now and I should have made sure that my pantry is stocked with a few necessities for emergency dishes. Well, I haven’t so I still become a victim. Just like this one time (this happened just recently, really recently), my best friend came over unannounced with a couple of friends whom I haven’t seen for a long time.
While it wouldn’t have mattered if it was my best friend (I would have served her water and it would have been all right. Serves her right for surprising me); but there were those other two who deserved a bit more of my care.
I thank God that my best friend wasn’t being the “pure evil” that she was and decided to help me while my friends were busy looking over at my photo albums (where did they get that anyway). I had pasta in the cupboards and a few stuff inside the fridge like ham and peas and mixed vegetables which my best friend was able to turn into something savory she called peanut butter noodles.
Well, it tasted really good and my two other friends thought they were prepared beforehand! When I asked her where she got the recipe, my best friend led me to Food.com site. Check out the recipe on the next page.
