In my family, everyone is a chewy and gooey cookie lover. They adore having their cookies be all mushy and soft as well as full of gooeyness. Now, I do not know what kind of cookie lover you are, but I am certainly not a fan of that. I cannot stand cookies that are chewy and gooey because I like my cookies really crispy. I have been known to “accidentally” leave the cookies in the oven a little longer so they get toasty and crispy.
I just love crunchy cookies! Well, luckily for me, I married a guy who loves crunchy cookies, too! So when he told me that, I knew I had to find a recipe that was specifically for crispy cookies. I looked high and low, Pinterest and online and I will be honest, I found nothing interesting.
People just like chewy cookies. But after a little longer I came across this recipe. It is SO easy, and the batter is made perfectly for cookies to get flat and crispy without burning. That was always a hassle for me because I wanted a crispy cookie that did not burn, but with this recipe, I do not have to worry about that!
