I love making my own homemade dips. It’s actually cheaper to make your own dip than it is to purchase a pre-made dip at the grocery store. Plus, you know what ingredients are going into your food. The following fiesta ranch dip is really quite simple to make and only includes 5 ingredients. The flavor in this dip is anything but simple, though. Seriously, it’s quite robust and will keep your chips digging in the dip bowl for hours to come.
Check out what my pals over at Homemade Hooplah had to say about this delicious recipe:
Now, homemade chip dip is always a hit no matter the time or the reason, but I’m not sure why some events feel… not quite right without it. Maybe it has to do with the time of year, or the other foods being served at the same time, or maybe even what activities are going on, but somehow or another there are some moments that just don’t feel right when an appetizer like this fiesta corn dip is missing.
This is the perfect dip to make for a Cinco de Mayo party.
Ingredients
16 oz SDaisy Sour Cream
10 oz can Rotel
15 oz southwestern corn
1 pkg Hidden Valley dry ranch dressing mix (or 3 tbsp)
1 cup Kraft cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
In a large bowl, add sour cream, tomato & green chili mix, southwestern corn, dry ranch mix, and cheddar cheese. If desired, set aside 1-2 tablespoons of corn, cheese, and tomato to garnish the top of the dip.
Thoroughly mix ingredients together, taste testing to make sure the ranch has distributed evenly.
Serve dip immediately in a serving bowl of your choice with tortilla chips for dipping. If you reserved any ingredients for garnish, decorate the top of the dip as you see fit. Dip can be made in advance and stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
