My brother and his wife were coming to town for a night, and they wanted to come to our house. Of course! They are always welcome, and I quite look forward to having them. It’s nice to have an adult conversation and catch up. I planned on taking the kids to my mother-in-law’s house so that we could have some peace and quiet…after they said hello to their aunt and uncle. Thankfully, I already had dinner cooked and ready to go.
The in-laws live just a few miles down the road so it was a quick trip to drop them off then back home to plate up this beautiful pasta chicken in garlic cream sauce that I found on Group Recipes. It was so good! It was nice to be able to have a private conversation too rather than dealing with the hustle and bustle of the restaurant.
And, my brother had big news…they were expecting their first baby! I’m glad I planned a nice meal instead of ordering takeout pizza or something. It really set the tone for a wonderful evening.
