Country Baked Bone-In Pork Chops Bring Love And Laughter To The Table

I, personally, enjoy serving these yummy pork chops with a side of buttered noodles but sometimes I’ll make mashed potatoes to go along with it. Which sides do you enjoy serving with your chops? Only 2 ingredients and you have a lovely dinner?

Yeah, I’d say this recipe is pretty ding dang easy!

Ingredients

4-8 Bone-in pork chops ¼ – ¾ inch thick

Old Bay Seasoning

Instructions

Let chops come to room temperature for 20-30 minutes.

Rinse off chops with cold water.

Pat dry with paper towels and place chops on a baking sheet or pan.

Sprinkle seasoning mix on chops.

Turn chops over and sprinkle seasoning mix on what was the bottom side of chops.

If chops are ½ inch or thinner, preheat oven to 300 deg.

If chops are ½ inch or thicker, preheat oven to 325 deg.

Cook chops for 15 minutes then turn them.

Cook chops for another 15 minutes.

If the internal temperature is between 150-160 deg., remove chops from the oven.

Cover pan with foil and let the chops stand for 5-10 minutes.

I’d serve them with Snarly Rice. in cast iorn skillet sizzle 1/4 cup butter. 1/2 cup sliced almonds, 1/2 medium onion diced and pepper to taste (i use 1/2 tsp or so). Meanwhile bring 2 cups boullion (any flavor, I prefer salt-free) to a boil in a seperate pan. When the rice is lightly browned and the boullion is boilg, carefully stir the boiling boullion into the rice mixture. Return to boil, then immediately cover skillet and lower heat to simmer. allow to simmer, worrying it with a for every 5 minutes or so, for 20 inutes and remove from heat. allow to rest covered 5 miutes or so and serve with pork fish or poultry. I’ve been making this for about 40 years! It’s named for my daughter (my pet name for her) because she absolutley loves it!
