Well, it finally happened. I always thought it would, but I wasn’t sure when.
I was out of town on business, and my son went up to my husband at the end of the day and said that he needed to take a snack to school the next day. I often wonder how much notice the teachers give the kids because the kids give zero. I think even if they told them a month in advance, they would still wait until the last minute to let us know. My husband called me in a panic, and I tried to calm him down.
I told him it would be okay to just buy something from the store on the way to drop them off if he couldn’t find anything. He then said, as I could hear him shuffling through cupboards, that he found a box of brownies. There ya go! We hung up and I felt confident knowing he had everything under control.
Later that night he sent me a picture of these brownies that he found on Facebook. I think I just sat and stared at the screen for about five minutes. I couldn’t believe that he had come up with this all on his own. I fell in love with him just a tad bit more that day.
