My favorite type of cookie has always been chocolate chip. The chewier, the better. I never was a fan of the crunchy cookie. I always had to dunk those in a big glass of milk to soften them up.
They were good still, but they were messy, and not as tasty as the chewy ones. When I was in high school my freshman year, I had the best chewy cookie experience of my life. During exam week, they were selling huge chocolate chip cookies from the cafeteria for just fifty cents!
I couldn’t believe that they were offering us that, or that they would be any good. I don’t know if it was because my brain was fried from studying or if they were really that amazing, but those were the best cookies I had ever had.
Many years later, I found this recipe on All Recipes and I had to see if they could compare to the ones I remembered from so long ago. They were just as good!
Maybe even a little better because I got them fresh from the oven. This is now my favorite recipe for cookies.

Quick Tip: Cook until just golden brown around the edges or they may get too crunchy.
