These lightly sweet, super seasonal cookies were my cookie of choice when recently asked to send some holiday cheer to an Air Force Squadron stationed in Iraq.
They’re sturdy enough to withstand the journey and tasty enough to make absolutely anyone smile! I love supporting our troops and I know they must feel so disconnected from home during the holidays. I can only hope that these special eggnog sugar cookies brought them a bit of Christmas holiday cheer.
You’ll find that these cookies are seriously easy to make and you can double or triple the recipe. You don’t even want to know how many batches I had to make of these cookies to send to the troops but it was well worth the effort.
Surprisingly, these eggnog sugar cookies are quite sturdy and can withstand a lot of jostling. Considering putting them into decorative Christmas boxes and packing them into holiday gift baskets or packages. I like to do this and then take them to the local homeless shelter so that the people in need might receive a nice gift of Christmas cheer 🙂
