I will be the first to tell anyone…with no shame…I am not a good baker. But, there are times in life, like when your kids ask you to make them something yummy for dessert, that you have to give it an honest effort. When I found this recipe that said “no bake” on Spend With Pennies, I knew it was going to be right up my alley. It wasn’t even anyone’s birthday or a special occasion, but I knew I had to try this out.
I went to the store while everyone was gone and secretly shopped for the ingredients. I got home and gathered everything I needed and got down to work. I felt like I was prepping for a college exam…but in the end…it was so simple!
I especially loved the “no bake” part. When my kids got home the following day from a sleepover, they couldn’t believe that Mom had “made” something. I was so proud to give it to them I didn’t even wait until after dinner. The each devoured their plates and asked for more…to which I said, “Wait until after dinner!” The powers of parenting.
