For my husband and I’s 25th wedding anniversary, we decided that we would go on a second honeymoon.
We weren’t going to go to a tropical beach resort this time though. We were going somewhere that we had wanted to go for years… New Orleans! We weren’t going at any ol’ time either… it was going to be during Mardi Gras. We wanted to experience the town when it was at it’s busiest time. It was something that we both had on our bucket list for years and years.
When we got there, it was so much more exciting than what we had ever imagined it was going to be. There were all kinds of unique people, events, and sites to see. We just couldn’t soak up enough of our surroundings fast enough.
After our flight, we were starving, so we knew we had to eat something. We fell in love with their cuisine. When I found these Cajun chicken cakes after we got back home on Facebook, I made them for dinner one night. It’s all we could talk about was our amazing trip. Maybe we will even go back someday.
