I love when I get to participate in a potluck. There is nothing I love more than going to a location where there is loads of different food, all prepared by different people, from different cultures and backgrounds which, makes their food unique and delicious in its own way. That is something I love about participating in a church. I get to participate in events like these often and if you know me, you know I love food and participating in a potluck is like being right in my element.
There is nothing I love more than food (well, I guess I love my husband more than that…). Anyway, recently I was asked to bring a dessert to a potluck. But, I was told not to bring a classic cake-like dessert, but something that would be easy to serve, such as bars, or cookies.
I thought long and hard about what I would make since I hate making something common and decided to go with bars. Cookies are just too common. I looked online for a good bar recipe that would be light and delicious and found this strawberry shortcake bar that is absolutely amazing. I loved making this and they were gone in no time, so I am pretty sure they were delicious!
