It was late. I was exhausted. The last thing I wanted to think about was getting up to make breakfast for the house full of kids we had from my son’s basketball team that were staying the night. They had just won their game against their biggest rival, so they came over to celebrate with video games, pizza, candy, and lots of soda. With all that sugar, they stayed up way later than what I was prepared for.
Now, all I could think about was sleep. And I wanted that sleep to last as far into the morning as possible. Then I remembered this casserole that I had seen on Group Recipes.
It was just a few simple ingredients in a crock pot, and 10 to 12 hours of sleep for me. This was the winner. The kids and I all slept in and woke to an amazing pan full of delicious breakfast. I felt like the real all-star then!
