This Blueberry Cobbler Is Almost To Pretty To Eat…Almost

As a kid, I hated apple pie.

I am not even sure why because I loved sweets, but the fact that it was fruit with sugar did not seem cool to me.  I just wanted chocolate cake for everything.  However, as I grew older, I realized apple pie wasn’t so bad.  So I loved it.  I still do.  I eat it at every opportunity I get and I make it at home more often than I would care to admit.

Now, one day my neighbor Anne showed up with a blueberry dump cake.  I was freaking out cause yet again I was thinking of fruit coated in sugar.  It just did not appeal to me but I figured I would give it a try so as not to be rude.  I took a small little scoop and doused it with ice cream (I kept telling myself it would cover up the blueberry taste) but as I went to put it in my mouth, the ice cream fell off the spoon and into my mouth went a spoonful of blueberry casserole.

I couldn’t chew for a minute.  Not because I was appalled, but because it was so amazing!  I loved this casserole.  It became a new favorite and something that Anne had on hand often for my near daily visits to her home.
