Bananas are my favorite food.
Ever since I was little, I liked them, whether they were mashed, whole or in chunks. I think my love for them started back when I would watch Barney and they would sing a cute little song about fruits. I remember thinking that one was my favorite and had to have at least one every day. My mom had to hide them from me so I would not get myself into the bananas and devour them all in one sitting.
Nowadays, I like to experience with more than just plain bananas. I like to go out there and put them in new foods. One of my favorite ways to eat them is with pasta and red sauce. Weird, I know, but so delicious! What I like even more though, is a good banana cream pie.
I remember the first time my mom made it. I dove into that thing and stayed there until it was all gone. I did not even serve myself on a plate, I just ate straight out of the pie dish with a big spoon. It was so good and perfectly sweet. Just what I wanted on a hot summer afternoon (and well, let’s be honest, any day of the year!).
