This is always a huge crowd pleaser when I take it to potlucks and picnics. I double the recipe though because it disappears pretty quickly. I like to have some to take home with me if possible. I try and have what everyone else has made while I’m at the event, but I don’t want to miss out on this because it’s just so dang tasty. Sometimes I get some leftovers, sometimes I don’t. You might have a hard time getting this to your potluck dinner after you see how good it is!
Ingredients
1/2 cup Hellmann’s mayonnaise
1/3 cup Domino white sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons Heinz vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
9 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
1/2 cup grated carrots
1/4 cup minced sweet onion
Instructions
Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, milk, lemon juice, vinegar, and salt and pepper in a large bowl.
Toss the cabbage, carrots, and onion into the dressing; mix well. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or up to overnight before serving.
