Grocery shopping with a three and five year old is always an adventure. I usually have too much in my cart to try and contain them both in there, so I have to allow the five year old to walk. He’s learning that he needs to stay by me, but it’s a work in progress. He’s also starting to understand that he can’t touch everything on the shelves! One of the first times I let him walk, he grabbed a bag of Doritos off the shelf and instantly started crunching them up.
I felt so embarrassed as everyone looked on. I didn’t want to put them back all scrunched up, so I took them with me and bought them. Now what was I going to do with a bag of crunched chips?
I had remembered seeing something about a Dorito casserole when poking around on Group Recipes, so I went back to look it up. Lucky for me, I found it! I already had all the ingredients in the house so I made it that very night.
It was very popular among my whole family. I guess destruction isn’t always a bad thing.
