A BBQ Meatloaf Recipe That’ll Make Your Mouth Water!

Are you looking for a new way to present the classic meatloaf? Then this recipe is for you to try. I am sure that your guests or to whoever you will serve this will enjoy this recipe. It’s flavorful and it’s comforting at the same time. A new treatment to a classic taste! That’s the thing with this recipe. Even if it was given a new treatment, it can still be considered comfort food. It still has that classic taste that everyone is used to eating.

Our friend over at Tasty Kitchen has this to say about this recipe:

“Soul-warming comfort food at its best!”

It’s just that there’s something that made this more appealing than the usual meatloaf recipe. Even I (not that fond of meatloaf) fell in love with this!

Ingredients

¾ cups Tyson Ground Chuck

¾ pounds Tyson Ground Sirloin

½ cups Onion, Chopped

⅓ cups Homemade Barbecue Sauce, Divided

1 Tablespoon (heaping) Silver Spring Whole Grain Mustard

1-½ teaspoon McCormick Chili Powder

1 teaspoon McCormick Garlic Powder

½ teaspoons Kosher Salt

½ teaspoons McCormick Fresh Ground Black Pepper

1 whole Eggland’s Egg

½ cups (12-14) Saltine Crackers, Crushed Into Crumbs

12 ounces, weight Hormel Bacon

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350ºF. Line a sheet pan with foil and fold up the edges, making a dam to catch the drippings/fat.

In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion, 3 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, mustard, seasonings, egg and cracker crumbs. With you super duper clean hands, mix until combined and then form into a 9×5(ish) loaf. Wrap in bacon, tucking the ends under the loaf and then brush with remaining barbecue sauce (or glaze again halfway through) and slide it into your preheated oven for 1 hour or until a thermometer registers at 160ºF. Remove and let rest for ten minutes, slice and serve!
