Uncle Ben is the King of the Grill! No one will be able to take that title away from him because he is the only one who can make the meat taste this juicy! I’m not kidding. I don’t know how he does it because he’s certainly not doing anything special whenever he’s grilling, but he always makes the best grilled meat because he knows how to cook them properly.
One of the highlights in Uncle Ben’s grilling milestone is this bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin. It wasn’t him who prepared it of course. It’s always my aunt who prepares everything. But it’s Uncle Ben who grills them the way they should be grilled!
As usual, he was able to grill them good. They were medium rare so they were all very juicy and tender, just like the way everyone loved them. My aunts made the creamiest mashed potatoes and gravy and the tastiest buttered vegetables to go along with them.
Some of us even ate the medallions with hot white rice (rice is a favorite in the family). But however we ate them, one fact was sure—the meat tasted great. And Uncle Ben still wouldn’t tell us his secret!

Quick Tip: After they’re done, wrap them in foil and let them rest for about five minutes. This brings the flavors together and allows them to finish cooking through the miracle of carryover heat.
