I love sweet and salty flavors combined. One of my favorite things to eat is a chocolate covered pretzel. Or well, pretzels. I can never eat just one!
They are such a delicious combination of both salty and sweet. The pretzel gives the perfect amount of salt, while the chocolate, whether it is white, milk or dark, gives the perfect amount of sweet. It is a match made in heaven.
I also love the combination of chocolate and strawberries. The sweetness with a bit of tang is the perfect cooling dessert on a hot day! I love desserts that combine two flavors, which is why I was thrilled when everything started coming in a salted caramel flavor.
It just seemed so good. Salted caramel ice cream, cookies, desserts, cheesecake. It was just amazing! One of my favorite ways to enjoy salted caramel, though, is in cookie form.
It is just easier to get the bit of both flavors and I love that so much. So, what I do to enjoy it the most is create a cookie that is salty, and then place a dollop of caramel in the center. It really creates an awesome blend of flavors that cannot be combined in any other way!
