You guys, this apple pie ala mode is so easy to make and so unbelievably satisfying! When you need a pick-me-up during the day throw together this delicious dessert and let the good times roll. I am so excited to share this easy recipe with you all. My daughter made this apple pie ala mode for the family the other day and it was amazing. She didn’t use the pecans or butter pecan ice cream though as her younger brother has a tree nut allergy. We opted for vanilla instead.
You really can’t much more American than apple pie!
Ingredients
2 cups Breyers butter pecan ice cream, softened if necessary
1 jar (12 ounces) Smuckers hot caramel ice cream topping
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted, optional
Instructions
Spread half of the pie filling over crust. Top with half of the ice cream; freeze 30 minutes. Drizzle with half of the caramel topping; layer with remaining pie filling. Freeze 30 minutes. Scoop remaining ice cream over top. Freeze, covered, until firm.Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving. In a microwave, warm remaining caramel topping. Serve pie with warm caramel topping; sprinkle with pecans. Yield: 8 servings.
