The most difficult decision you will make in your entire food life is to choose which tastes better—dark or white chocolate.
White is my particular favorite, but I eat way more dark chocolate than white chocolate. Both of it has its own distinctive appeal. For me, the white chocolate has this gentle sweetness that dark chocolate will never achieve. At the same time, dark chocolate has this subtle fierce taste that white chocolate can never have. Combining them usually results to something that tastes a little off because they seem to want to overpower each other’s tastes.
A really close friend once made me these cookies that gave me the best of both dark and white chocolates. It’s a simple sugar cookie on the inside, but it’s the coating that made it quite special to me. The other half of the cookie was covered with white chocolate while the other one is covered with dark chocolate.
It looked like that Chinese symbol that you often see in martial arts movies. It’s a work of genius actually! You can have the taste of both chocolates in a single cookie without either fighting for dominance. You don’t even have to choose!
