You ever have those days when you feel like Old Mother Hubbard?
I know that I do. I feel like one of my kids that are always whining…”There’s nothing to eat!” In reality, there is a great dish just waiting to be whipped up with ingredients that are found normally in my kitchen. When looking around for simple recipes with few ingredients, I stumbled across this beauty on the web.
I remembered having Shepherd’s Pie at a friend’s house once, but I had never tried making it myself. What better time than now? It’s not often you can browse an ingredients list and check off everything because you already have it in the house.
That was the case the day I made this scrumptious one-pan dinner. I was a little nervous because Shepherd’s Pie doesn’t always look the most appetizing to younger kids. Both of my little ones gobbled this right up and even asked for more.
I don’t think they even realized it was stuffed full of green beans. At least I know they got their vegetables in. I will be making this again for sure!
