I love making and eating cookies.
Such a simple treat to satisfy the old sweet tooth, don’t you think? The recipe on the next page is for jelly-centered sugar cookies. This recipe is easy to follow and the ingredients are simple. I can recall making these cookies with my mama during the holiday season. She would place the cookies in decorative tins and pass them out at church to our friends and family as gifts. Everyone loved them!
My mother would use cherry, strawberry, grape, and peach preserves in the cookies so that we had a variety to choose from. My favorite was the cherry ones. Yum!
