When it comes to classic American desserts apple pie ranks as number 1. Add a scoop of ice cream and you may as well eat the pie at the baseball field while singing the National Anthem.
You really can’t get much more American than apple pie ala mode, folks. The following recipe on the next page is super easy to make. I love the graham cracker crust in this pie as it is different and tasty. You can use a pastry crust if you prefer but you’ll have to bake it, first.
