My husband is a simple kinda guy who doesn’t like a big to-do about anything…including his birthday. I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he told me that chocolate would do just fine. He always asks for chocolate cake but I give him the courtesy of asking him each year. You never know, he might change his mind. Anyway, I found the perfect chocolate cake recipe when I came across the little gem on the next page.
Add an extra touch to your cake by sprinkling on some colored sprinkles. I didn’t do this because my husband doesn’t like them but a child might for his or her birthday cake. Get creative!
