The Cheese Gods Have Heard My Prayers
I know I’ve posted a number of macaroni and cheese recipes but this recipe, folks, is the most versatile recipe I’ve ever come across. It’s cheesy, it delicious, and you can make it personal. I have had so much fun adding in meats, veggies, and different cheeses to the mix every time I make this delicious masterpiece. This time, I tossed in some crispy bacon. I love how the bacon looks on the top of this yummy mac ‘n cheese casserole. So yummy!
I actually got the idea to add in the bacon from my daughter. She made the suggestion when I told her that we were having four cheese macaroni and cheese casserole for supper. I told her that it was an excellent suggestion. The catch? She had to fry up the bacon 🙂
This is bacon mac and cheese is one casserole that everyone loves to devour, especially children. It’s pure comfort food. I can’t tell you how many times my kids have requested that I make four cheese macaroni and cheese and then rattle off the different add-in ideas that they have. You and your family are truly going to love this!
