I was surprised when I got a call one weekend from one of my friends who worked overseas. Marian has been out of the country for years and most of our interaction involved social networking sites and Skype calls. I truly missed her though so I was ecstatic when she gave me the call. She told me that she would visit the country in a week’s time and that her parents are giving her an advanced birthday bash.
She was inviting me to the party and she even begged me to come. Of course I said yes, even though her parent’s hometown is about an 8-hour drive from where I lived. When we got there, Marian immediately introduced me to her boyfriend who came with her.
She said that Dean came to meet her parents and at the same time celebrate her birthday with her. The birthday bash was celebrated the whole afternoon. There were grilled meat and fish and there were a lot of desserts on the table.
One thing that stood out to me though was the barbecue meatloaf. You know I’m not a fan of meatloaf, but this one particularly stood out because its taste was divine! I had to ask for the recipe so I can share it to you, but I kind of lost it.
It was the star of the night too because everyone loved it! It’s a good thing I found this similar recipe over at Tasty Kitchen. I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it too!
