When my husband and I first got married and started living together, we went through some pretty interesting, shall I say, trial periods. The usual getting used to sharing your space with someone else kind of things I guess. For the first couple of years, we both worked outside of the home, so there really wasn’t much that happened in the kitchen.
Once in a while we would make a spaghetti or try out a new recipe, but we didn’t really have our “own” family dinner meals, like my family did when I was growing up. Then, after we started having children, I discovered that it was the time to make a menu.
I was lucky enough to be able to stay home with my babies, and part of that included making dinner for everyone each night. When I thought about meatloaf, I didn’t think the hubby would go for it.
I used a recipe a lot like this one from All Recipes that first go around, and much to my surprise, he really enjoyed it. Now, this is my go-to meatloaf recipe and we have it at least once a month.
