Sometimes, family dinner conversations take an unexpected turn. Like for example that time when I, my brother and his family visited our parents at the same time. Mom cooked for us this stuffed chicken that tasted really good. It’s chicken stuffed with vegetables, ham, and cheese. Everyone was just enjoying the food when suddenly, my niece asked if if one of the vegetables was strawberry because she didn’t like fruits with chicken.
Andy told her that it wasn’t strawberry; that it was red bell peppers. And just like that, the conversation turned into a discussion about fruits of labors. Mom and Dad started talking about working hard for our dreams.
They told us that their dreams didn’t come true because they lacked a lot of things in life that could have made them reach their dreams, which is why they’re being supportive of us. The truth is, Mom and Dad didn’t need to remind us. My brother and I grew up knowing that you need to work hard to achieve your dreams.
That you need to be persistent even if the road was difficult. All in all, it was a satisfying dinner even if the conversation turned somewhat serious! This recipe that I’m about to share with you is similar to that delicious stuffed chicken that my mm served us. Enjoy!
