I love my big Italian family. They sure know how to have fun. Every time we all get together…which is often…it’s always an adventure. There’s always someone cracking jokes and making us all laugh. Everyone talks really loud so it seems like we are yelling at one another, but really that’s just how we communicate. Another thing that is always happening when we are together….eating!
If you know anything about Italians, you know how much they love food. No matter if there is five or fifty of us at dinner, it always looks like we are at an all-you-can-eat buffet. There is lasagna and ravioli and breads and desserts…and my favorite, sausage with peppers and onions.
The recipe my mom does is just like this one from All Recipes. It’s usually one of the first things to go, so if all the Aunts, Uncles, and cousins are coming for dinner, I make sure that I get in line first for these. It just wouldn’t feel like a complete meal without some of this on my plate!
