When me and my best friend were roommates in college, we ordered takeout more than I care to admit. We were busy studying, going to class, and having our social and work lives. We didn’t have time, or the drive really, to make anything in the kitchen. One of our favorite places to eat was the little Chinese place that was right down the street from us. It was awesome because we could order and by the time we walked down, our food was ready.
It was reasonably priced too so we didn’t go broke eating there which was nice. When I graduated and moved away from that lovely college town, they didn’t have a Chinese restaurant in my new town. The craving for the sweet and sour shrimp that I used to always get didn’t go away though.
When I found this recipe on Recipe Lion, I was stoked. It looked great, and easy to make so it was going to be perfect for me. When I bit into that first piece, I was stunned by how good the flavor was. I don’t even miss that place anymore, now that I can make this at home.
